A resounding 'Yes' to everything you wrote Meli. The beauty of this expansion of ourselves does affect our worlds and communities in a life giving way even as the living God created us out of love. Mother Maria Skobtsova wrote, "Only someone who is in love has the right to call himself a human being".
Peter, Thanks for the question. I'll say more later, but in the spirit of my suggested approach, I'll ask you - Why do you ask about Israelis and Palestinians right off the bat? What about other conflicts in the world? I'm curious about why you bring up one of the hottest issues in the world today and I wonder about your answer to your question. in appreciation, Meli
Meli. The reason I ask about the Israelis and Palestinians is the obvious one that their current war is, as you say, one of the hottest issues in the world today. Also, it involves conflict between at least two of the Abrahamic faiths with which your Talking with God project in concerned; this is not the case in other examples I might have chosen, such as the Russia-Ukraine War.

Nicely said Meli. Thanks for composing this important message and sharing it out. Look forward to following through on your suggestions.
Thank you.
Hi Meli,
Where do the Israelis and Palestinians fit into this?
Tschüss, Peter

For an answer to my own question I can do better than turn to the Gospel according to St Luke (10: 29-37) (The Parable of the Good Samaritan) where Jesus provided the Christian answer to the question "Who is my neighbour" as in "Love thy neighbour as thyself." For an interpretation, which I agree with, see Dr Amy Jill-Levine in the Biblical Archaeological Society here: https://www.biblicalarchaeology.org/daily/archaeology-today/archaeologists-biblical-scholars-works/understanding-the-good-samaritan-parable/#:~:text=The%20story%20is%20told%20in,As%20Dr.
